Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in an interventional radiology/procedural setting
• Manage moderate sedation and monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
• Perform critical-care interventions when needed for ICU/ER-level patients
• Collaborate with the procedure team, anesthesiology, and radiology staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to and triage urgent inpatient and outpatient admissions as cases require
• Document thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and accurate records
• Participate in call rotation and respond as the on-call RN when scheduled

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to work in Texas)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (critical care/ER or radiology experience preferred)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Experience in interventional radiology or procedural radiology preferred; ICU or ER experience acceptable if no rad nursing background
• Willingness and ability to take call (typically 1-2 days/month)

Education

• Active RN licensure required; BSN not required (BSN listed as not required in job details)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Skilled in moderate sedation management and patient monitoring
• Experience with CT imaging workflows and interventional medicine procedures
• PICC line knowledge and procedural assistance
• Comfortable working in a cath lab–style environment with outpatient and urgent inpatient cases
• Strong critical care assessment and prioritization skills
