Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direction and guidance to hospital staff on policies, procedures, and clinical judgment to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Organize workflow and assign nursing resources to optimize patient flow across units
Monitor staff productivity and deliver constructive coaching and feedback to support professional growth
Assume supervisory and administrative decision-making responsibilities in collaboration with clinical leaders and the CNO
Coordinate closely with charge nurses and clinical/non-clinical support staff to resolve operational challenges
Respond to patient and family concerns, ensuring timely resolution and excellent service
Lead initiatives to improve patient flow and resource utilization across the hospital

Qualifications

Degree from a Nursing Program
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years' experience as an RN in a hospital setting; recent ICU experience preferred
CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Experience with ventilator-supported patients, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and advanced monitoring

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong leadership and people skills with experience in nurse supervision and resource assignment
Proven experience in patient flow management and functioning as a resource nurse
Skilled in cardiac monitoring and care of postoperative and medical patients
Comfortable operating advanced medical equipment and multiple IV pumps
Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, teamwork, and customer service orientation
Ability to develop and implement special projects and process improvements
