Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment and follow radiation protection protocols
• Provide direct patient care including safe transfers and age-appropriate imaging techniques
• Maintain patient records and departmental documentation with attention to detail
• Participate in and assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance programs
• Assist with interventional and invasive procedures, including sterile technique and contrast administration
• Set up and operate automatic injectors and manage contrast protocols by age group
• Support tele-radiology transmissions and consult with referring physicians
• Assist with supply inventory, ordering, and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Rotate shifts and take on-call responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency must be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to work across multiple imaging modalities (XR, CT, MRI, Mammography) as needed
• Competency in sterile technique, venipuncture, and contrast administration
• Comfort assisting with interventional procedures and operating CT equipment
• Ability to take call and report to work within 20 minutes

Education

• ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Additional ARRT modality certifications (CT, MR, MG, NM) preferred

• Diagnostic radiography and patient care across the lifespan
• CT operation and protocols, including automatic injectors
• X-ray technique and radiation protection
• Contrast protocols and contraindications
• Quality assurance and record maintenance
