Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and document patient functional status using evidence-based approaches
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain
• Provide hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to support recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and communicate results with patients and families
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the patient record and comply with facility policies

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license required (California licensure or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Active BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS or other certifications as applicable
• Comfortable working a 13-week travel contract with a guaranteed 30-hour work week
• Strong patient-centered clinical skills and excellent verbal communication
• Immunizations and onboarding requirements completed prior to assignment start

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy or related field considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and mobility training
• Ability to develop measurable goals and treatment plans tailored to each patient
• Familiarity with documentation in electronic medical records
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management in an outpatient/inpatient setting
• Skilled at patient and family education to support at-home progress
