Shift Type: Variable shifts (day/evening), 30 hours/week guaranteed; exact days and start/end times to be confirmed with the hiring manager (schedule may vary during the 13-week contract)

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient status and progress using clinical reasoning to guide safe, effective care
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs and assist with mobility, gait training, and transfers
- Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge recommendations clearly and on time
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and functional independence
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising physical therapist
- Maintain equipment, uphold infection control practices, and contribute to a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Current California PTA license (required)
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with travel/temporary assignments and able to start ASAP
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Completion of state PTA licensure requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, functional mobility, and gait training
- Proficient with patient documentation and electronic health records
- Strong clinical observation and patient safety techniques
- Time management, organization, and the ability to prioritize caseloads
- Compassionate patient education and effective interdisciplinary communication
