Shift Type: Monday-Friday (4x10 schedule), 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Day), with one alternating day off each week
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient histories to support safe, efficient visits
- Room patients and prepare them for exams, ensuring comfort and dignity
- Collect and label specimens accurately, including throat swabs and urine clean catch samples
- Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy as needed for lab work
- Assist with special procedures and set up equipment for LEEP, colposcopy, IUD insertion and related OBGYN procedures
- Administer immunizations, injections, nebulizer treatments, and TB testing per protocol
- Document care and encounters in EPIC promptly and accurately
- Manage telephone triage and pharmacy refill calls with professionalism and clear communication
- Support follow-up phone calls, suture removal, and other outpatient clinic tasks to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active MA-C certification required
- BLS certification required
- EPIC experience required for charting
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic; OBGYN experience highly preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to meet facility scheduling requirements
- Willingness to float within scope of practice to meet clinic needs
- Comfort assisting with procedures such as LEEP, colposcopy, and IUD insertion is a strong plus
Education
- MA-C certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in EPIC charting and electronic documentation
- Strong patient rooming skills and obtaining accurate vitals and histories
- Skilled in specimen collection, labeling, and basic point-of-care testing
- Phlebotomy, venipuncture, immunizations, and injections
- Experience assisting with OBGYN procedures and familiarity with LEEP and colposcopy workflows
- Telephone triage and pharmacy refill coordination
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate clearly with patients and clinical team
