Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the medical unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform routine assessments, document findings, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other skilled nursing tasks within LVN scope
• Support patient education and discharge planning efforts
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the chart

Qualifications

• Current and active California LVN license required
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program
• Availability for Tuesday–Saturday 1:30 PM–10:00 PM shifts
• Minimum clinical experience preferred (new grads considered with strong references)
• Ability to pass facility orientation and required screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program (LVN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Proficient in basic wound care and vital sign assessment
• Comfortable working in a correctional healthcare setting or similar clinical environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently when needed
