Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care for trauma, spinal/neuro, and surgical patients with skill and compassion
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor critical indicators, and intervene promptly to stabilize patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and carry out evidence-based care plans
• Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC, ensuring continuity and safety
• Educate patients and families about condition-specific care and discharge planning
• Maintain readiness for high-stress trauma situations including gunshot wounds and complex spinal injuries

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in trauma, surgical, or high-acuity nursing specialty
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• EPIC experience required — please note EPIC on your profile
• Nursys license verification required; active license appropriate for practice
• Complete candidate profile with resume/work history (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist, certification card, references, and badge-appropriate photo
• Comfort and experience caring for spinal/neuro, trauma, quads, paraplegic, and other high-acuity patient populations

• Trauma and surgical nursing practices and protocols
• High-acuity monitoring and emergency response
• Spinal and neuro patient care considerations
• Proficient EPIC charting and documentation
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and support team-based care
