Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care for trauma, spinal/neuro, and surgical patients with skill and compassion
- Perform thorough assessments, monitor critical indicators, and intervene promptly to stabilize patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and carry out evidence-based care plans
- Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC, ensuring continuity and safety
- Educate patients and families about condition-specific care and discharge planning
- Maintain readiness for high-stress trauma situations including gunshot wounds and complex spinal injuries
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in trauma, surgical, or high-acuity nursing specialty
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC experience required — please note EPIC on your profile
- Nursys license verification required; active license appropriate for practice
- Complete candidate profile with resume/work history (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist, certification card, references, and badge-appropriate photo
- Comfort and experience caring for spinal/neuro, trauma, quads, paraplegic, and other high-acuity patient populations
Knowledge & Skills
- Trauma and surgical nursing practices and protocols
- High-acuity monitoring and emergency response
- Spinal and neuro patient care considerations
- Proficient EPIC charting and documentation
- Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and support team-based care
