Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor progressive care patients to detect changes in condition early
• Administer medications and therapies safely and document accurately
• Manage cardiac monitoring and respond to telemetry changes with urgency and skill
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Provide clear education and compassionate support to patients and families
• Perform thorough and timely documentation in the patient record
• Participate in rapid response or emergency interventions when needed
• Mentor and support other team members to promote a strong, patient-centered unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or eligibility for state licensure
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with progressive care or acute care exposure preferred
• Current BLS required, ACLS strongly preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing higher-acuity patients
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements such as background checks and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure as required by state

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills for progressive care patients
• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV medication administration and infusion pump familiarity
• Critical thinking and effective prioritization in fast-paced settings
• Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Accurate electronic health record documentation
