Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med-Surg, Oncology, and Hospice patients
• Perform and manage procedures such as wound vac changes, drain removal, IV/PICC care, Foley and NG insertions/removals
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, escalating changes in patient status appropriately
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including clinical care coordinators, LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries
• Maintain safe patient ratios and prioritize tasks to keep your unit running smoothly
• Support unit staffing needs by floating between Med-Surg and Telemetry when required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (per state requirements) — ready to practice in Missouri
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience; oncology, med-surg, or telemetry experience preferred
• Comfortable with IV/PICC management, wound care and wound vacs, drain and chest tube care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and basic telemetry interpretation
• Able to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend rotation requirements
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, and focused on patient-centered care

• Meditech documentation experience
• Oncology and Med-Surg clinical knowledge
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
• IV/PICC line care and management
• Wound care and wound vac familiarity
• Foley and NG insertion/removal competency
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills
