Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and MRA exams accurately and compassionately using GE 1.5T Signa and GE 3T Pioneer systems
• Prepare patients and ensure MR safety, screening for contraindications and supporting patient comfort
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images for a wide range of studies (brain, spine, abdomen, cardiac, breast, extremities and more)
• Document procedures and patient care thoroughly in Meditech to maintain clear patient records
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and support staff to optimize protocols and workflow
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled, responding to emergent studies Friday through Sunday when assigned
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any operational issues to ensure uninterrupted patient care

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI registration (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience (unit requests at least 1 year)
• Comfortable operating GE 1.5T Signa and GE 3T Pioneer systems
• Experience with Meditech or similar documentation systems is a plus
• Preferred but not required: Cardiac MRI and Breast MRI experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MR safety and patient screening procedures
• Proficiency in MR imaging protocols across neuro, body, MSK, cardiac and breast studies
• Ability to position patients and use coils/accessories for quality imaging
• Solid patient communication and bedside manner, including working with diverse populations
• Competence with Meditech documentation and electronic patient records
• Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting scans and basic equipment issues
• Teamwork and adaptability in a busy hospital environment
