Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neurocritical and stepdown care for complex patients in both ICU and IMCU settings
• Perform thorough neurologic and systemic assessments and act quickly on changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
• Manage advanced monitoring, lines, and ventilators as clinically indicated for critically ill patients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure handoffs are clear and comprehensive
• Float between the ICU and IMCU as needed while maintaining unit standards of care
• Support unit workflows by assisting with skills checklists, competency requirements, and peer communication

Qualifications

• Valid RN license (Nursys verification requested) with credentials up to date
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Neuro ICU, Critical Care (ICU), or Stepdown/IMCU
• Strong documented neurocritical care experience on your profile and resume
• Clean work history with no gaps greater than 60 days; please provide resume and references
• Ability and willingness to float between ICU and stepdown units as needed
• Current certification cards and required documentation ready to upload (badge-appropriate photo requested)

Knowledge & Skills

• Neuro-focused patient assessment and monitoring
• Critical care nursing principles and ICU/IMCU workflows
• Experience with advanced hemodynamic and neurologic monitoring
• Skilled clinical judgment for rapid recognition and intervention
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Accurate electronic documentation and familiarity with skills checklists
• Ability to adapt quickly when floating between units and changing assignments
