Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Continuously monitor rhythm strips, recognize changes, and escalate concerns to physicians in a timely manner
• Manage ventilators and deliver complex respiratory care for high-acuity patients
• Assist with bedside intubations and bronchoscopies to support procedural teams
• Perform and support SLED, TEE, and cardioversion procedures as needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes
• Maintain situational awareness and adapt quickly during surge conditions while preserving patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia) required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Comfortable with ventilator management and rhythm strip interpretation
• Experience with Meditech EMR and GE bedside monitoring preferred
• Ability to assist with intubation, bronchoscopy, SLED, TEE, and cardioversion
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability — you stay calm and focused when it matters most

Education

• Active RN licensure (Registered Nurse)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and high-acuity patient management
• Ventilator management and advanced respiratory support
• Cardiac rhythm monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic charting
• Experience with GE bedside monitoring systems
• Procedural assistance: intubation, bronchoscopy, SLED, TEE, cardioversion
• Telemetry and PCU patient care crossover skills
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and teamwork abilities
