Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (days to be determined)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to elderly residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively during handoffs
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification — Maryland certification preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and elder dignity
- Proficiency with activities of daily living assistance
- Safe patient transfer and mobility techniques
- Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Observation skills to notice and report subtle changes in condition
