Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient adult neurology care, managing a daily census reflective of hospital demand
- Perform and interpret EEGs and EMGs as clinically indicated
- Deliver thrombolytic therapy and participate in acute stroke management when needed
- Conduct brain death examinations in accordance with institutional and legal standards
- Interpret radiologic exams in an unofficial capacity to inform clinical decisions
- Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Epic
- Collaborate closely with other neurologists, physicians, and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of a neurology residency
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
- Active medical license in Ohio or ability to obtain state licensure in a timely manner
- Clinical experience in inpatient adult neurology, including EEG and EMG skills
- Comfort and competence with thrombolytic therapy and brain death examinations
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic medical records
- Locum tenens experience and prior hospital credentialing preferred
- Ready to begin credentialing as soon as possible
Education
- MD or DO with neurology residency completion
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in inpatient adult neurology and acute neurologic care
- Proficiency in EEG and EMG performance and interpretation
- Knowledge of stroke protocols and thrombolytic therapy management
- Ability to perform brain death examinations and document findings
- Skill in interpreting radiologic studies to support clinical decisions
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and team-based care approach
- Comfortable using Epic for documentation and order entry
