Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise clinical teams across Med-Surg and ER as an active, working House Supervisor
- Oversee patient flow and coordinate care to maintain safe, efficient operations
- Provide clinical support and mentorship to nursing staff in high-acuity situations
- Respond to emergency situations in the ER and support rapid decision-making
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary services, and leadership to resolve escalations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and best practices
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) — title indicates professional licensure is required
- Supervisor experience and prior Emergency Room (ER) experience (both required)
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Comfort and experience working 12-hour day shifts in Med-Surg and ER settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) — specific degree (ADN/BSN) not specified in the job posting
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in Medical-Surgical nursing and Emergency Room care
- Ability to lead teams while remaining hands-on during busy shifts
- Triage and rapid assessment skills for emergent patient care
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
- Situational awareness, prioritization, and sound clinical judgment
