Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing team with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning
- Document care and communicate changes in resident status to the care team
- Support a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification
- Local only — must have reliable personal transportation
- Must have own housing (local assignment requires local residence)
- Willingness and ability to work weekends as required
- Comfort working in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills and a professional, caring attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed LNA training and current state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs, transfers, and basic resident care
- Accurate charting and attention to detail
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
