Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams and routine X-ray studies accurately and efficiently
• Start IVs and manage venipuncture for contrast administration when needed
• Provide compassionate patient care before, during and after imaging procedures
• Operate and maintain CT and radiography equipment following safety protocols
• Verify patient identity and documentation, including license/certification checks
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and imaging needs
• Complete required competency exams, specialty checklists, and maintain certifications

Qualifications

• Current CT certification and California state licensure (license verification required)
• Ability to perform X-ray/radiography and CT imaging
• Skilled in IV insertion/venipuncture for contrast studies
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Ability to work independently and effectively with other departments
• Must complete Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Must meet facility health requirements (drug screen, TB/PPD or chest x-ray, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, Fit Test, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap)

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging techniques and protocols
• Radiographic positioning and imaging fundamentals
• IV/venipuncture techniques for contrast administration
• Patient safety, radiation safety and infection control practices
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner
• Ability to document accurately and manage imaging records
• Teamwork and the ability to work independently when required
