Shift Type: Three to four 10-hour shifts per week (exact start/end times vary by unit), rotating day/evening schedule with call 1-2 days per week and one weekend every 4 weeks; rotating/variable

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the PACU, guiding patients safely through the post-operative phase
- Monitor physiological responses and intervene promptly to ensure patient stability
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered pre-operative and post-operative care
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and support staff to coordinate seamless patient transitions
- Maintain clinical competency through ongoing training, education, and adherence to practice standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely
- Participate in department initiatives to improve safety, quality, and patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure appropriate for Colorado
- Clinical competency in perioperative and surgical nursing, with PACU experience preferred
- Proven ability to monitor and respond to physiological patient changes in pre- and post-operative settings
- Willingness to complete required orientation, training, and competencies for surgical services
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary surgical team
