Shift Type: Rotating day shift, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM; includes every other weekend and rotating holidays; 72 hours bi-weekly

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned inmates/patients (adolescent through adult) under RN or physician supervision
- Administer nursing treatments and medications within the scope of the LPN license
- Perform timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Support medical intake, triage, and routine care in a busy correctional health environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity of care and safety
- Maintain professional standards aligned with the facility’s mission, vision, and values
- Adhere to correctional protocols and contribute to a safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio ONLY (required)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required)
- Preferred: Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Comfortable and experienced working in correctional healthcare settings
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods and meet physical requirements (lift 250-300 lbs with assistance; push/pull up to 500 lbs with assistance)
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid foundation in direct nursing care and medication administration
- Familiarity with correctional facility workflows, safety and security protocols
- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting
- Good communication and teamwork within multidisciplinary teams
- Infection control and basic emergency response skills
