Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
- Take and record vital signs and observe changes in patient condition for timely reporting
- Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves patient dignity and comfort
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the nursing team
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA accepted
- Active healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous patient care experience is a plus but new CNAs who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and ADLs
- Comfortable with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with nurses and therapists
