Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in CVOR and General OR procedures, ensuring a sterile field for complex cardiac and vascular cases
• Provide focused 1:1 patient care in the operating room setting, prioritizing safety and patient outcomes
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to maintain clear patient documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams to coordinate case flow and patient needs
• Respond to call responsibilities including weekend and evening call shifts with professionalism
• Float to Main OR as required, bringing flexibility and a team-first attitude to multiple surgical suites

Qualifications

• Active RN license preferred for Oregon; pending license accepted (facility allows pending status)
• BLS required
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CNOR
• Minimum 2 years of relevant OR/CVOR experience (per job data); first-time travelers are noted as accepted
• Comfort with 1:1 patient ratio in perioperative settings and prior scrub experience in cardiovascular procedures
• Ability to float to Main OR and work weekend and evening call shifts as specified

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in scrubbing CVOR procedures and General OR cases
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with cardiac and vascular procedures (CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA, carotid, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, IABP)
• Familiarity with thoracic procedures including VATS and RATS and minimally invasive cardiac techniques
• Comfort with robotics and advanced instrumentation, as well as cell saver and electrosurgical units
• Strong infection control, specimen handling, Universal Protocol (time out), and code response knowledge
• Quick learner who adapts to a Level II Trauma Center environment and multidisciplinary teams
