Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility with dignity
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
- Support the nursing team with timely, accurate documentation and charting
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the care team
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean environment
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active CNA or T-CNA certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred where applicable (verify with facility)
- Comfortable providing direct patient care in a long-term/acute care setting
- Professional attitude, strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any required trainings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/T-CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and assisting with activities of daily living
- Familiarity with taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Good clinical observation and the ability to escalate changes appropriately
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
