Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and support for residents’ activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility in a dignified manner
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with caregivers and families
• Support social and activity programs to promote resident engagement and wellbeing
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control protocols

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) - you must be certified as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or working with geriatric populations is a plus
• Compassionate attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow care plans and complete required documentation accurately

Education

• GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing assistant duties
• Knowledge of infection control best practices and resident safety principles
• Comfortable with basic resident transfers and mobility assistance techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with residents and families
• Reliable documentation and time-management skills
