Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts and EHR systems
- Support patient mobility, hygiene, meal assistance, and safe transfers
- Ensure patient safety and a clean, comfortable environment at all times
- Assist nursing staff with treatments and care plans as directed
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Class: CNA) — required
- Active CNA certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
- Willingness and ability to work Thursday-Saturday night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Local to Albuquerque (LOCAL ONLY) and able to commute reliably
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient care fundamentals: ADLs, transfers, and personal hygiene
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Clear documentation and charting habits
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during night shifts
- Collaborative teamwork and effective communication with clinical staff
