Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment skillfully across modalities used by the department
• Perform X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, digital mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine, PET-CT, ultrasound and bone density imaging as appropriate
• Provide safe, patient-centered care and prioritize radiation safety and infection control
• Collaborate with OR and perioperative teams to deliver timely imaging support
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams clearly, and document clinical information accurately
• Ensure high-quality images for fast, accurate diagnoses and communicate findings to the care team when appropriate
• Maintain equipment, follow departmental protocols, and participate in quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current ARRT RT(R) credential required
• Current unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technologist License required
• Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Comfort and experience working night shifts and weekend schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging modalities (X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, Ultrasound, Bone Density)
• Competence with digital imaging systems and PACS
• Radiation safety principles and patient positioning expertise
• Ability to work in an OR environment and collaborate with surgical teams
• Excellent patient communication and clinical documentation skills
