Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ condition and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support meal service and ensure residents receive appropriate assistance during dining
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Document care accurately and contribute to clear communication across the care team
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through respectful interaction
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but new grads with strong caregiving skills are welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements
- Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and use of mobility aids
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Team-player attitude and respectful communication with residents and staff
