Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care as a circulating or scrub nurse in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and surgical instrumentation management throughout cases
• Anticipate needs, prepare supplies and equipment, and troubleshoot intraoperative issues
• Document patient care, perioperative events, and handoffs clearly and professionally
• Participate in call rotations and respond promptly to urgent OR needs

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with OR experience (Registered Nurse required)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong perioperative experience with demonstrated circulating and scrub skills
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated strong orthopedics experience required
• Ability to work Monday-Thursday day shifts and participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing best practices and sterile technique
• Expertise in orthopedic surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Efficient circulating and scrub workflows in a busy OR
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-stakes environments
• Patient assessment, intraoperative safety, and infection control
• Ability to prioritize, anticipate needs, and stay calm under pressure
