Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
- Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
- Follow infection control practices and promote a safe environment for residents
- Support patient mobility and fall-prevention efforts through attentive care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA classification noted) — must be active in the appropriate state
- Comfortable providing hands-on resident care and working in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding and health screenings
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Knowledge of vital signs, resident observation, and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
- Team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills
