Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ functional status and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and independence
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and strategies to maintain gains
- Ensure a safe therapeutic environment and maintain equipment and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (Maryland licensure preferred or as required)
- Current clinical competency in assessment and treatment of adult rehab patients
- Strong documentation skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; bachelor's or master's in physical therapy or related field considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and mobility assistance
- Proficient in developing measurable, goal-driven treatment plans
- Knowledge of rehab documentation standards and electronic medical records
- Ability to instruct patients and caregivers on safe transfers and home programs
- Team-oriented mindset with good clinical decision-making skills
