Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policies and state practice acts
• Document care and patient status clearly and timely according to standards of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patients' longitudinal plans of care
• Develop and execute patient care plans and provide patient and family education
• Participate in unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Apply critical thinking to escalate patient safety concerns through the appropriate chain of command

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• NIHSS certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Influenza vaccination required
• Experience as a Travel RN and/or Float Pool experience preferred
• Comfort working nights and providing coverage on every other weekend and holidays
• Ability to float among Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, Orthopedics/Neuroscience, and Sub-Acute units

• Safe medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
• Patient safety practices and escalation procedures
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and clear communication
• Critical thinking and clinical judgment across varied inpatient settings
