Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care to residents with compassion and professionalism
• Follow established nursing care procedures and directions from supervisors
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Document resident care accurately and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Support a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required
• Experience in long term care or resident care preferred
• Willingness to work day shifts primarily and nights occasionally if needed
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and maintain energy and compassion throughout the day
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff and residents
• Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements such as health screenings and background checks

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Resident daily nursing care and long term care best practices
• Familiarity with standard nursing care procedures and documentation
• Infection control and resident safety awareness
• Good observational skills to note changes in resident condition
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Empathy, patience and strong interpersonal skills
