Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inpatient nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
• Document assessments, plans and progress accurately in Cerner
• Deliver patient and family education on therapeutic diets, tube feeding, and nutrition strategies
• Monitor and adjust nutrition interventions based on clinical status and lab results
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nutrition-related policy development
• Support safe feeding practices and follow hospital guidelines and attendance policies

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent credential preferred; state dietitian license as required
• Minimum 1 year clinical dietitian experience (as stated in the posting)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Comfort using Cerner or similar EMR for documentation
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required; graduate degree or internship completion preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in clinical nutrition assessment and therapeutic diet planning
• Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition concepts
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
• Clear, compassionate patient education and counseling skills
• Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary care teams
• Familiarity with hospital policies, safety and infection control practices
