Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, patient-centered nursing care for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs, responding quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately according to policies
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
- Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education during transitions of care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and timely
- Escalate concerns and collaborate on rapid interventions when clinical deterioration occurs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, step-down, telemetry, or progressive care experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills in a high-acuity setting
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a high-functioning team
- Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- IV therapy, medication administration, and titratable drips experience
- Solid knowledge of progressive care protocols and patient safety practices
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Basic EMR documentation skills and comfort learning site-specific systems
