Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care on a telemetry med-surg unit for a 36-bed floor
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage non-titratable drips safely and accurately
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:4–1:6 while ensuring safe, individualized care
• Support unit flow and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med-Surg and/or telemetry nursing
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and managing non-titratable drips
• Experience using Meditech or similar EMR is preferred
• Strong time management and teamwork skills; able to work across acute care areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Med-Surg clinical assessment and interventions
• Familiarity with non-titratable IV drips and safe medication administration
• Proficient documentation in Meditech EMR
• Effective time management and prioritization
• Clear communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work nights and cover weekend rotations
