Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill adults and boarders
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support, adjusting settings and titrating therapy as needed
• Administer and titrate vasopressors and other high-acuity medications safely and accurately
• Monitor and care for arterial and central lines, ensuring secure function and aseptic technique
• Assist with or perform invasive procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line placement, and chest tube care
• Document patient care and clinical changes accurately in EPIC to support continuity and quality
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain situational awareness and rapid response for changes in patient acuity and staffing needs

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state licensure required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (will consider 1 year of strong ICU experience)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Proven experience with ventilator management, vasopressors, arterial lines and central line care
• Comfortable participating in/assisting with intubation, bronchoscopy support, chest tube placement and other ICU procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation and electronic charting
• Ability to float to PCU and serve as a sitter when needed; outgoing, team-player attitude

Education

• Active RN licensure (required)
• ACLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and respiratory assessment
• Invasive line monitoring and troubleshooting (arterial/central lines)
• Titration of vasoactive medications and critical care infusion management
• Rapid sequence intubation support and airway management
• CRRT and IABP exposure (preferred experience)
• Epic documentation proficiency
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization and effective communication skills
• Experience with open-heart care, bronchoscopy support, and restraint use protocols
