Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate labor and delivery nursing care including continuous fetal heart monitoring and bedside support
- Perform and document procedures such as cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, IV starts and lab draws
- Assist and circulate during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, supporting safe outcomes for mom and baby
- Respond to neonatal resuscitation events and collaborate with the care team for optimal newborn care
- Use clinical judgment to assess, triage and prioritize patients in a fast-paced L&D unit
- Communicate clearly with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia and laborist providers
- Accurately document patient care using Meditech and Centricity systems
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Certifications required: AWHONN intermediate fetal heart monitoring, NRP, ACLS, BLS
- Hands-on experience with IUPC and FSE placement, vaginal deliveries, IV starts and circulating cesarean sections
- Experience with Meditech and Centricity documentation systems
- Previous travel nursing experience or at least one completed travel contract is preferred
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; degree type not specified in job posting
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal heart monitoring interpretation and perinatal assessment skills
- Neonatal resuscitation and advanced cardiac life support skills
- Comfortable with labor support techniques such as Spinning Babies and Supporting Vaginal Birth approaches
- Familiarity with adjunct tools like Jada, fetal pillow and Cook's catheters
- Ability to work collaboratively with laborist and anesthesia teams
- Excellent patient education, communication and documentation skills
