Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care and rapid triage to patients in the ER
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and responses to interventions
• Stabilize patients and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures per protocol
• Prioritize caseload in a fast-paced environment to ensure patient safety
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current RN license in California or compact RN license as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS preferred
• Previous emergency department nursing experience preferred
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Good clinical judgment, prioritization, and time management
