Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU/CCU patients using advanced clinical judgment
• Monitor and manage hemodynamics and complex devices including temporary pacemakers, IABP, Impella, EKOS, and Artic Sun
• Perform or assist with procedures such as central line and dialysis catheter insertions according to unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care and safe transitions
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families during high-stress situations
• Adhere to unit guidelines and participate in quality and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience (as listed)
• Current RN license (must meet state requirements for KY)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• PALS preferred (listed as a secondary skill)
• Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to work self-motivated in a fast-paced ICU
• Comfort with invasive monitoring and advanced cardiac/hemodynamic support

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making in critical care settings
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiac devices (Impella, IABP, EKOS)
• Skilled in temporary pacemaker management and use of GE monitors
• Familiarity with procedures: central line and dialysis catheter insertions
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork skills
