Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Day shift, 40 hours/week). Note: facility work week operates Wednesday-Tuesday and on-call/callback coverage with a minimum 2-hour callback may be required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and document quality control, troubleshooting, and maintenance on nuclear medicine equipment to ensure safe, reliable imaging
- Confers with physicians to determine and execute appropriate imaging procedures and protocols
- Handle, store, and document receipt and disposition of radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with regulations
- Conduct EKG/cardiac studies and operate cardiac stress equipment as required for patient exams
- Provide compassionate patient care and clinical instruction to students and residents, elevating team competence
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, QC data, and medical records to support compliance and patient safety
- Identify process improvements and implement changes that enhance patient experience and departmental efficiency
- Ensure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation guidelines through strong regulatory compliance practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (required)
- Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from Texas Medical Board/TDSHS (per facility requirement)
- Active ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT (must have within 6 months of hire)
- Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Ability to administer intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV) injections and start IV lines
- Demonstrated experience operating Gamma cameras including SPECT/CT and PET/CT, nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment
- Willingness to disclose prior Parkland employment history (required) and provide required documentation
- Able to provide resume, skills checklist specific to the discipline, two recent supervisory references, and proof of taxable address
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent clinical training (preferred)
- Certification and licensure as required (MRT Texas and ARRT CNMT/N)
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, radiopharmacy handling, and radiation safety
- Proficient with gamma camera operation, SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging
- Skilled in quality control, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of imaging equipment
- Familiarity with nuclear medicine therapeutic basics and imaging protocols
- Competence in EKG interpretation basics for cardiac studies and use of cardiac stress equipment
- Strong documentation skills for QC logs, radioactive material tracking, and patient records
- Regulatory compliance awareness for state/federal laws and accreditation requirements
- Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork abilities
