Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care and triage quickly and confidently
• Assess, prioritize, and manage an often high-acuity caseload with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Perform emergency procedures and collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and the multidisciplinary team
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Use strong prioritization and time management to keep the ED flowing smoothly
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, solution-oriented unit culture

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ability to practice in Texas required/preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 1.5 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Preferred: 2+ years of ER experience and prior Meditech EHR experience
• Comfort working rotating nights and weekends; strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing workflows
• Meditech EMR documentation and order entry
• Patient-centered care and rapid assessment
• Excellent prioritization, time management, and multitasking
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with paramedics and RNs
• Familiarity with common ED equipment and 4:1 patient ratio management
