Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular operating room patients
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and assist the surgical team during CV procedures
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and communicate findings with the care team
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to assignment start
• Collaborate with colleagues when floating to other units to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (state authorization required to submit)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as stated in the posting)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Perioperative or CVOR experience preferred; acute care experience a plus
• Ability to complete online modules (approx. 6 hours) prior to start

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma acceptable; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) practices and sterile technique
• Perioperative nursing and acute care principles
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting
• Strong hemodynamic assessment and monitoring skills
• Ability to float to other units and adapt to changing case volume
