Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating schedule with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks (Night shift / NOC)

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert post-operative and critical cardiovascular care for CTICU/CVICU patients, including post-cardiac surgery recovery
- Manage high-acuity devices and therapies such as IABP, ECMO, CRRT and Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring
- Perform and maintain sterile technique for central line dressing changes and port-a-cath procedures
- Demonstrate strong IV skills and support frequent bedside procedures including bronchoscopy assistance and epidural management
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias — passing the required dysrhythmia exam is mandatory
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Cerner to ensure continuity of care
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned and collaborate with intensivists, RT, pharmacy and the multidisciplinary team
- Float to other units (including Westgate) when requested to support patient care across the facility
Qualifications
- Active RN license (willing to wait for license to submit if needed)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; CVICU/CTICU experience preferred
- Level I trauma experience is required
- BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and SIMs Lab pass/fail skills on Day 1 of orientation
- Strong IV skills, Foley catheter insertion competency and central line dressing change competency
- Ability to float to other ICUs and Tele units and work a high-acuity, high-procedure caseload
- Travel-specific requirements: own vehicle, natural hair color, no facial piercings; men must be clean shaven for fit test
Education
- Active RN license in the U.S. (state licensure required)
- Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN acceptable; BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Post-op cardiac surgery care (CABG, TAVR, thoracic procedures)
- Mechanical circulatory support knowledge (IABP, ECMO) and CRRT operation/support
- Swan-Ganz catheter management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator and respiratory management experience
- Strong sterile technique and bedside procedure support
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting
- Excellent dysrhythmia recognition and ACLS/intervention skills
