Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (4x10-hour day shifts) + on-call: approximately 1 weeknight call weekly (end of day - 7:00 AM) and 1-2 weekend calls per month (Fri 5:30 PM - Mon 7:00 AM); day shift with required call coverage
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and monitor cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
- Operate and troubleshoot MacLab and Cerner charting systems during cases
- Collaborate directly with cardiologists and the cath lab team during STEMI and structural heart cases
- Respond to on-call alerts promptly (30-minute response time) to support emergent cases
- Prepare procedural trays, set up equipment, and manage radiation safety practices including personal radiation badge use
- Provide clear, accurate documentation and handoffs during shift changes and after procedures
- Participate in unit orientation and buddy-call periods to support high-quality onboarding
Qualifications
- WA license required at time of submission
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- ARRT (CI or CV) or RCIS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience with both Scrub and Monitor roles
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- Must provide personal radiation badge (facility does not supply)
- Able to meet 30-minute on-call response time and work occasional weeknight and weekend calls
Education
- No BSN required
- Completion of cath lab technologist training or equivalent clinical education recommended
- Required certifications (ARRT or RCIS) as listed above
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven experience with Cath Lab Scrub & Monitor roles
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, STEMI workflows
- Experience with structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PFO/ASD work
- Comfort with hemodynamic support devices: IABP and Impella-assisted cases
- Proficiency with MacLab and Cerner EMR systems
- Strong radiation safety practices and personal badge use
- Ability to function well during high-acuity cases and rapid response situations
