Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Day (8-hour shifts; shifts may occasionally start as early as 7:00 AM for scheduled cases; possible call)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $88 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Circulate during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and smooth workflow
- Prepare patients and procedural areas using sterile technique and equipment checks
- Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes
- Collaborate closely with Cath Lab techs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in Cerner and related systems
- Support and precept new nurses, sharing Cath Lab expertise to build team capability
- Assist with a variety of procedures including PCIs, diagnostic caths, peripherals, nephrostomy tube care, and IVC filter support
- Maintain required certifications and participate in unit orientation and training
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in California
- ACLS and BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior Cath Lab experience is required
- Experience as a circulating RN in cardiac catheterization procedures (PCIs, diagnostic caths, peripheral cases)
- Comfort with procedure coordination and training/mentoring newer staff
- Ability to use Cerner, Sensis, and MyJourney modules (training provided during orientation)
Education
- Active RN license required
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and sterile technique
- Familiarity with Cerner charting and Sensis imaging systems
- Experience with GE equipment and procedural monitoring
- Understanding of balloon pumps and STEMI care is a plus
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Patient assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response skills
