Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour day shifts). Rotating call 1x/week for inpatient/emergent cases; weekend call ~1 weekend/month (runs Fri evening through Mon AM)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $97 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support and scrub during cardiac, vascular, peripheral, IR and neuro interventional procedures
- Monitor hemodynamics and assist with conscious/moderate sedation processes
- Manage airway and assist with administration of cardiac drips and vasoactive medications
- Operate and maintain fluoroscopy equipment and radiation safety practices (rad badge provided)
- Collaborate with RNs and lead tech to coordinate room assignments and efficient 2-tech workflows
- Respond on-call for STEMI receiving and emergent cases as required
- Help maintain high throughput during busy caseloads (10–22 cases/day) while ensuring patient safety
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current cath lab experience (no first-time travelers)
- Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation workflows and airway management
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, vasopressors), and balloon pumps
- Experience in cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR and neuro interventions preferred
- Willingness to participate in rotating call and occasional float assignments
Education
- Formal training in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology preferred
- Associate degree or equivalent clinical training commonly expected; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in cath lab procedures and 2-tech case workflows (scrub & monitor roles)
- Strong hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation abilities
- Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety knowledge
- Comfort with conscious/moderate sedation practices and working alongside RNs
- Familiarity with STEMI receiving protocols and high-volume cath lab operations
- Ability to manage balloon pumps and vasoactive infusions safely
- Experience charting in Cerner is a plus
