Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures with precision and calm
- Support EP procedures, peripheral vascular cases, TAVR, mitral clip, IABP and hybrid cases in the hybrid lab
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging and cath lab systems including Cerner, Xper, Phillips and Siemens equipment
- Maintain patient safety and sterile technique while collaborating with physicians, nurses and techs
- Respond to on-call notifications within the hospital's required response window and provide timely coverage
- Document procedures accurately in the EMR and assist with charge capture and unit workflows
- Participate in unit-level quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required (must be able to scrub)
- Arizona state license (MRTBE / CRT) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab technologist experience
- Level I trauma experience required; will consider very busy Level II
- Comfortable with 12-hour day shifts and regular call rotation
- Experience with EP lab and hybrid cardiac/vascular cases preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent plus formal radiologic/technical training
- ARRT certification required (radiologic technologist credential a must for scrubbing roles)
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner and Xper charting systems
- Experience using Philips and Siemens cath/tele systems
- Skilled in interventional cardiology workflows and EP procedures
- Ability to scrub and circulate in high-volume settings (10-25 cases/day)
- Strong teamwork, communication and rapid-response skills for on-call coverage
- Familiarity with endovascular, CVOR and hybrid case processes
