Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and imaging suites for interventional radiology procedures with professionalism and compassion
• Operate and optimize imaging equipment during IR procedures, ensuring high-quality fluoroscopic imaging
• Assist physicians and the interventional team during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
• Perform radiation safety checks and follow ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
• Conduct equipment quality control, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to minimize downtime
• Accurately document procedures, patient status, and required competencies in line with facility and Trinity requirements
• Respond effectively during on-call shifts and support urgent cases that require timely imaging assistance

Qualifications

• Active Radiologic Technologist licensure as required by Ohio (license/certificate verification will be completed)
• BLS certification required
• Comfortable and experienced working in interventional radiology environments and on-call rotations
• Ability to complete Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty-specific competency testing
• Must meet facility health requirements including fit testing, TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA), drug screen, and required immunizations/vaccines

Education

• Radiologic Technologist certificate or Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
• Completion of program required by state licensure standards; facility-specific education requirements may apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Proficient with fluoroscopy and IR imaging equipment operation
• Strong patient positioning and monitoring skills during procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with physicians, nurses, and techs
• Familiarity with radiation safety practices and quality assurance protocols
• Ability to prioritize and act calmly during urgent or emergent cases while on-call
