Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered labor and delivery care throughout the birthing process
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using appropriate tools and escalate changes promptly
• Perform and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes with attention to detail
• Collaborate with OB providers, anesthesiology, neonatology, and support staff to optimize outcomes
• Support and educate families during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and transition to newborn care when needed
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control, and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or compact RN license as applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to complete License/Certificate Verification and Trinity competency checks
• Pass required health screenings: Fit Test, Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, Color Vision, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA), Varicella, and physical/health statement
• Prior Labor & Delivery experience preferred but enthusiastic, safety-minded clinicians are encouraged to apply

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring and interpretation skills
• Comfort with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
• Skilled in labor support, pain management, and postpartum care
• Ability to respond quickly in urgent or emergent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Patient education and family-centered care approach
