Roles & Responsibilities
- Stabilize newborns and provide urgent neonatal interventions when minutes matter
- Deliver high-quality emergency room care across all age groups with calm, decisive action
- Provide ICU-level care including monitoring, assessments, and critical interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and adjust patient care plans
- Perform thorough documentation and participate in Trinity specialty competency assessments
- Support families with clear communication, compassion, and education during stressful moments
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (state verification required)
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable and experienced with newborn stabilization, ER triage, and ICU care across age groups
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist prior to assignment
- Ability to pass required pre-employment health screening: Fit Test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, color vision check, and immunization verification (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA)
- Willingness to complete any additional facility-specific licensing or credentialing steps
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active RN license in good standing
Knowledge & Skills
- Newborn stabilization techniques and neonatal assessment
- Emergency nursing skills across lifespan (pediatric to geriatric)
- Intensive care knowledge including monitoring and rapid intervention
- Strong clinical judgment, triage, and prioritization under pressure
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
- Comfort with competency testing and adherence to facility protocols
