Roles & Responsibilities

• Stabilize newborns and provide urgent neonatal interventions when minutes matter
• Deliver high-quality emergency room care across all age groups with calm, decisive action
• Provide ICU-level care including monitoring, assessments, and critical interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and adjust patient care plans
• Perform thorough documentation and participate in Trinity specialty competency assessments
• Support families with clear communication, compassion, and education during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (state verification required)
• BLS certification required
• Comfortable and experienced with newborn stabilization, ER triage, and ICU care across age groups
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist prior to assignment
• Ability to pass required pre-employment health screening: Fit Test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, color vision check, and immunization verification (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA)
• Willingness to complete any additional facility-specific licensing or credentialing steps

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active RN license in good standing

Knowledge & Skills

• Newborn stabilization techniques and neonatal assessment
• Emergency nursing skills across lifespan (pediatric to geriatric)
• Intensive care knowledge including monitoring and rapid intervention
• Strong clinical judgment, triage, and prioritization under pressure
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Comfort with competency testing and adherence to facility protocols
